Childcare Trainer Requierments


Our training meets the Texas Health and Human Services (HHSC) standards:

  • A physician, psychologist, licensed professional counselor, social worker, or registered nurse.
  • Holds a generally recognized credential or possesses documented knowledge relevant to the training the person will provide (such as an individual who has a current Child Care Professional credential, a firefighter who offers training on fire safety, or a county health employee who offers training on immunizations).


Training sessions are approximately 30-45 minutes long, depending on the uptake of information, followed by a 10-question test. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion, documenting 1 clock hour of training.


This course also meets or exceeds the safety and health standards required by organizations such as USAG, USASF, and NGA, and aligns with NAEYC’s comprehensive guidelines for creating safe and healthy environments for both staff and children.

As a licensed master peace officer, Guy has developed and presented programs on leadership, security management, and crisis response for Fortune 500 companies. He specializes in crime risk assessment and consults with various organizations worldwide to reduce crime through effective policy design and training. Following the events of 9/11, Guy worked with the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force to develop first responder protocols for terrorist attacks. Currently, as CEO of Guy Beveridge & Associates, he provides crisis mitigation training for corporations, schools, hospitals, and churches. He also serves as an adjunct instructor for several prestigious law enforcement training organizations and is involved in educational development for Texas Justices of the Peace and Constables. Guy believes in empowering leaders and their teams to navigate risk with a focus on resilience and security.
